NWC nears fund-raising goal for Korver Field project
Only about $25,000 remains to be raised to fully fund the Korver Field project. The installation of an artificial playing surface, FieldTurf, was accompanied by naming the playing field in honor of former Head Football Coach Larry Korver and his wife, Betty.
Northwestern College will honor one of its founders, the Rev. Seine Bolks, by naming a student apartment complex after him. The Seine Bolks Apartments will be dedicated at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 5.

Athletic training student wins district scholarship
Heidi Te Brink of Durango, Colo., a junior athletic training and elementary education major at Northwestern College, has been selected to receive one of three $500 scholarships from the Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association (MAATA).
Dr. Michael Kensak, associate professor of English, and Dr. Joonna Trapp, associate professor of English, have been granted sabbaticals for the 2005–06 school year.
Dr. Randy Jensen will be working on the development of his tenure paper topic, “From Theistic Ethics to Christian Ethics (and Beyond?),” into an introductory philosophy text during a sabbatical.
Jeff Taylor has been granted a sabbatical to write a script inspired by the life of his mother.
