Coaching Endorsement

credits 6  |  completion 7 weeks  |  next start May 13  |  program runs May 12–June 26, 2025

Earn your Coaching Endorsement online and take the passion you have for sport to coaching and inspiring athletes. Opportunities for coaches and umpires as well as other sports-related jobs are expected to grow much faster than average through 2018 (Bureau of Labor Statistics). This is especially true in high schools, where state-certified teachers are the most likely candidates for open positions. To take advantage of the opportunity, educators can earn a Coaching Endorsement entirely online through Northwestern.

100% online. 2 courses.

You will earn your 6-credit Coaching Endorsement in 7 weeks. Classes are online, and some out-of-class requirements, such as connecting with an athletic trainer, will enable you to earn your Coaching Endorsement on your schedule.
