Rend Collective, a popular worship band hailing from Northern Ireland, will bring its “Campfire: The 10th Anniversary Tour” to Northwestern College on Friday, Oct. 6, as part of Raider Nation Celebration, the college’s Homecoming and Family Weekend. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in Christ Chapel.

Leaders from throughout northwest Iowa have been selected as participants in Accelerate Siouxland, a regional leadership development program offered by Northwestern College’s Center for Innovation & Leadership.

Northwestern College is opening its 2023–24 art exhibit season with a show by Minnesota artist Jessica Henderson. “Look Am I” is on display through Oct. 13, with a public reception with the artist scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 5, at 4:30 p.m.

Northwestern College has hired Dr. James Ruby to serve as the director of its graduate counseling programs. He comes from California State University, Fullerton, where he was department chair and professor of human services.

The second cohort of students in Northwestern College’s physician assistant studies program will graduate Saturday, Aug. 12. Master’s degrees will be awarded to 29 students during a 10 a.m. ceremony in Christ Chapel.

Northwestern College has announced the hiring of Tony Hoops, who has been athletic director at Bethel College in Kansas for six years, as vice president for athletics. He will start his new position in August.

Dr. Jason Lief, professor of biblical and theological studies at Northwestern College, is the co-author of a recently published book titled “To Mend the World: A New Vision for Youth Ministry.”

Northwestern College congratulates 366 students who earned a spot on the Academic Dean’s List for the spring 2023 semester. Of the Dean’s List students, 248 attained Collegiate Scholar status for earning a GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Eleven Northwestern College professors are conducting research and pursuing further study this summer with funding from the Northwestern College Scholarship Grants program.
