High school students are invited to participate in Living Your Faith, a weekend campus experience hosted by Northwestern College Jan. 28–30. The “Christian training camp” is for high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors who are passionate about their faith, have an interest in a career in ministry, or would like to become more involved in their church.

Northwestern College will launch master’s degree programs in clinical mental health counseling and school counseling in May. Both feature 100% online coursework and extensive hands-on learning.

The Northwestern College A cappella Choir is planning a concert tour and mission trip to Taiwan May 17 to 28. The 46-member ensemble will perform at a university, public schools, concert halls and churches. Joint performances with Taiwanese choirs are also on the itinerary.

The Northwestern College music department will present its annual Christmas Vespers concerts Saturday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 5, at 3 p.m. in Christ Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.

Northwestern College’s actuarial science program is ranked among the nation’s best-value programs by College Values Online. The ranking lists NWC 26th out of the top 30 best-value colleges and universities—joining many research institutions.

The author and illustrator of a recently published children’s book, "Sleepy Baby Samurai and the Magic Painting," will speak at Northwestern College on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 1:45 p.m.

The Northwestern College Symphonic Band will present a celebration-themed concert on Friday, Nov. 5, and the Heritage Singers and Jazz Band will perform Friday, Nov. 12. Both events will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel and are free and open to the public.

Northwestern College will welcome families of current students for Family Weekend on Oct. 29-30. The weekend’s events include a complimentary pastry breakfast with President Greg Christy, a showing of the Northwestern theatre department’s “Little Shop of Horrors,” athletic events and a harvest festival.

Northwestern College is launching a new online bachelor’s degree in early childhood that leads to teaching licensure, preparing graduates to teach PK through third grade. The program begins Jan. 10.

Northwestern College is making its ninth appearance on the Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces list compiled by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Northwestern was recognized as an adoption advocate and ranked fourth in the education industry for 2021.
