Northwestern College will host a summer theatre camp for high school students Monday through Thursday, June 26–29.
Northwestern College will break ground for a new residence hall during a noon ceremony Friday, April 21. Members of the public are invited to join dignitaries, students, faculty and staff for a brief program at the future site of the dorm, which will be located northwest of the DeWitt Learning Commons.
The Orange City Arts Council and Northwestern College proudly present Boston Brass on April 28, 2023, at Christ Chapel at NWC. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature music performed by Boston Brass. Additionally, several songs will be played by the NWC Symphonic Band and local high school musicians.
The Northwestern College music department will present a series of concerts in April and early May, featuring music from the A cappella Choir, Women’s Choir, Jazz Band, Orchestra and Percussion Ensemble. The concerts will be held in Christ Chapel and are free and open to the public.
“Harvey,” the beloved tale of Elwood P. Dowd and his best friend—a 6-foot-tall invisible rabbit—is the next theatre production at Northwestern College. Performances are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 21, and Thursday, April 27, and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. on two consecutive Saturdays, April 22 and 29.
Northwestern College’s Center for Innovation & Leadership and Department of Biblical and Theological Studies are co-sponsoring a webinar and networking event, “Social Enterprise: Entrepreneurship and the Common Good,” on Friday, April 14.
Northwestern College’s theatre department will celebrate its centennial with two days of special events Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29.
Northwestern College students will present their annual dance concert, RUSH, in the DeWitt Theatre Arts Center during five performances in March. Shows are scheduled for Thursday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, March 24, at 7:30 and 9 p.m.; and Saturday, March 25, at 2 and 7:30 p.m. in England Proscenium Theatre.
Northwestern College will send 13 teams of students on service trips to seven states, Bahrain, Costa Rica and Mexico during spring break. More than 150 participants will travel for this year’s annual Spring Service Partnerships, scheduled for March 4–13.
The Northwestern College Symphonic Band will perform its touring concert Friday, March 17, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.
