Dr. Juyeon Kang, professor of music at Northwestern College, has released a new piano recording, “Joyful Praise.”

Dr. Jenny Song, assistant professor of business at Northwestern College, served as first editor of “Servant-Leadership, Feminism, and Gender Well-Being: How Leaders Transcend Global Inequities through Hope, Unity, and Love.”

Northwestern College's theatre department will present Pedro Calderon de la Barca’s “Life is a Dream” Nov. 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19 in the DeWitt Theatre Arts Center’s England Proscenium Theatre.

The Northwestern College Symphonic Band and illusionist Jett Skrien will be featured in a concert titled “Magic, Music and Mystery” on Friday, Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel.

For the 10th time, Northwestern College has been named to the Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces list compiled by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

Three Northwestern College graduates will be inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 1. The honorees, along with the Raider Athletics Association Coach of the Year and Barnabas Award recipient, will be recognized at a luncheon at 11 a.m. and at halftime of the football game against Mt. Marty, which starts at 1:30 p.m.

Northwestern College will present five of its alumni with awards recognizing their accomplishments and service during Raider Nation Celebration, the college’s Homecoming and Family Weekend. The recipients will be honored during a banquet Saturday evening, Oct. 1.

Northwestern College is eighth among 166 Midwestern regional universities in the best-value rankings of U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-23 Best Colleges guidebook. The best-value rankings factor academic quality and cost after accounting for total expenses and financial aid.

Northwestern College will hold Raider Nation Celebration, the college’s annual Homecoming and Family Weekend, Sept. 30-Oct. 1. The weekend’s events include class and band reunions, banquets, athletic events, a music showcase, and traditions such as the Morning on the Green carnival.

Northwestern College will host Dutch organ soloist Arjan Breukhoven for a guest recital on Saturday, Sept. 24. On Oct. 1, the Northwestern music department will present its fall music showcase as part of Raider Nation Celebration. Both concerts will be held at 7 p.m. in Christ Chapel.
