Northwestern College will display artwork by Alton, Iowa, artist Duha Lee in its Te Paske Art Gallery Oct. 16 through Nov. 30.

Northwestern College’s latest physician assistant graduates have recorded a 100% first-time pass rate on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination. All 29 of the physician assistant students who graduated in August passed the exam on their first attempt.

The Northwestern College music department will present a fall music showcase on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. in Christ Chapel. The public is also invited to a joint concert of Northwestern music professor Dr. Juyeon Kang (piano) and opera singer Melody Wilson (mezzo-soprano) on Thursday, Oct. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel.

Northwestern College’s latest nursing graduates have recorded a 100% pass rate on the NCLEX-RN board exam. All 14 of the 2023 nursing alumni who took the exam passed it.

Four Northwestern College graduates will be inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 7. The honorees, along with the Raider Athletics Association Coaches of the Year and Barnabas Award recipient, will be recognized at a luncheon at 11 a.m. in the Rowenhorst Student Center Four-Court Area and at halftime of the football game against Hastings, which starts at 1:30 p.m.

Northwestern College will present five of its alumni with awards recognizing their accomplishments and service during Raider Nation Celebration, the college’s Homecoming and Family Weekend. The recipients will be honored during a banquet Saturday evening, Oct. 7.

Northwestern College will hold Raider Nation Celebration, the college’s annual Homecoming and Family Weekend, Oct. 6–7. The weekend’s events include class reunions, banquets, athletic events, a music showcase, and traditions such as the Morning on the Green carnival.

Dr. Laird Edman, research professor and professor emeritus of psychology at Northwestern College, will spend the next two years studying the impact of religious ritual in faith communities thanks to a $234,000 grant from the Templeton Religion Trust.

Northwestern College will host organ soloist Dr. Daniel Huey for a guest recital on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 3 p.m. in Christ Chapel. On Sept. 29, Northwestern will welcome Stephen Swanson, baritone, and Dr. David Gompper, pianist, from the University of Iowa School of Music. Their piano and vocal recital will be held in Christ Chapel at 7:30 p.m.

Northwestern College invites high school and transfer students to visit campus during the 2023–24 school year. Both individual visits and Raider Days (group visit days) serve as an introduction to the college for prospective students.
