Schaeffer’s project offers two students practical experience in both biology and research

Dr. Ruth Dankanich Daumer, chairperson of the department of nursing, will present “Healthy Heart Habits: Help for Teachers and Students” at the Iowa Districts West and East 2005 Teachers’ Conference Oct. 20–21 in Des Moines.

Garage sale raises $3,700 for hurricane relief
More than $3,700 was raised for the American Red Cross’ hurricane relief efforts at the Northwestern all-campus garage sale on Sept. 16 and 17.
Two new vice presidents joined Northwestern’s leadership team during the summer. Dr. John Brogan, a member of Northwestern’s religion faculty since 1997, is serving as vice president for student development. Dr. Jasper Lesage, dean of social sciences at Dordt College since 1990, is serving as vice president for academic affairs.
