Northwestern unveils new visual identity system
Northwestern has developed a new logo and wordmark to represent the college on publications, letterhead, the website, and throughout the campus.
Mike Wallinga, instructor in computer science, successfully defended his master’s thesis, “A Web-Based Meta-Tool for Bioinformatics Data Mining Tools” at the University of South Dakota and received a master’s degree in computer science in July.
MaryLou Wielenga, lecturer in music, was an instructor at Pipe Organ Encounter, a camp sponsored by the South Dakota chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Estate gift provides $2.6 million for NWC, church and town

Bowman, a junior biology-health professions major at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, is working to fight cancer behind the scenes in her work as a summer fellow at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wis.

Jansen participates in summer research program
Melinda Jansen of Newton, Iowa, has found a way to incorporate her love for science and a summer job. Jansen, a junior at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, is participating in the Research for Undergraduates program at the University of Memphis in Tennessee.
