Northwestern has promoted Dr. Jasper Lesage to provost and Dr. Adrienne Forgette to dean of the faculty. They will assume their new responsibilities on July 1.

History professor presents paper at Great Plains Symposium
Duane Jundt, lecturer in history, recently presented a paper at the Interdisciplinary Great Plains Studies Symposium in Omaha.
Karissa Carlson, instructor in chemistry, has earned her doctoral degree.
Ruth Cink, a junior chemistry major, recently presented her research at the American Chemical Society’s national conference in New Orleans.

Spidahl helps to coordinate national conference
Dr. Rod Spidahl, associate professor of religion and missiology, is serving on the national steering committee for the Fellowship of Short-Term Mission Leaders conference.
Northwestern students will head around the world this summer on four-week study abroad trips led by NWC faculty and staff.
Dr. Laird Edman, professor of psychology, has been named this year’s recipient of the Northwestern Teaching Excellence Award.
