Dr. Angila Moffitt is the program director for Northwestern's Master of Education programs and she also teaches in the undergraduate education department. She began her career as a special education teacher for elementary and high school students, then transitioned to the role of a curriculum developer and trainer for the Bradford Financial Center. She also taught high school special education students online through the Iowa Connections Academy. Prior to joining Northwestern's faculty, she was a grant evaluator for the Webster County Iowa Partnership for Success Grant and principal of Community Christian School and Daycare in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She also taught graduate courses for the American College of Education.
Dr. Moffitt earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education (K-8) and special education learning disabilities (K-12) from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. She is also a graduate of the University of Phoenix, from which she earned a master's degree and doctorate in educational leadership, curriculum and instruction.
