Dr. Thonstad is an experienced teacher and administrator who teaches courses for undergraduate and graduate education departments. Her previous work as a teacher, mentor, reading specialist, and principal has fully-equipped her to instruct students on-campus and online, as well as serve as the licensure official for the education programs. She has credentials in early childhood education, reading recovery, structured English immersion, curriculum, instruction and educational administration. Her doctoral dissertation provided insight into how a rural school with limited resources can utilize individualized instructional coaching to improve student emotional wellness.
