Missions expert to speak at Church Leaders Conference
Dr. Charles Van Engen, a theologian, author, former missionary and seminary professor, will be the keynote speaker at Northwestern’s Church Leaders Conference on April 6.
Dan Castellaneta, who voices Homer Simpson and has acted for television and film, will visit Northwestern Feb. 27 through March 1 as a guest theatre artist.
The music has been rehearsed, money raised and itinerary finalized for the A cappella Choir's tour of the Czech Republic, Austria and Poland March 7–14.
Weston Cutter, assistant professor of English, received a $2,500 Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Prize in February.
More than 200 students, faculty and staff will travel across the U.S. and around the world for Spring Service Projects March 6 through 15.

NWC recognized in report on environmental initiatives
Northwestern is among about 50 Christian colleges that are recognized for their environmental stewardship in “Green Awakenings Campus Report,” a new publication released by Renewal: Students Caring for Creation.
Northwestern’s 10-member touring theatre company will perform “Faith & Folly: Old Testament Stories on Stage,” scripted verbatim from Scripture, in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin during the college’s spring break, March 7–15.
Thrown ceramic tea bowls created by Ian Dudley, a senior majoring in art and writing, will be on display Feb. 22 through March 5 in Te Paske Gallery.
Northwestern’s Symphonic Band will present a concert on Friday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel.
