Carter Aguilera Head Athletic Performance Coach

Aguilera has served as Northwestern's head athletic performance coach since August 2024.
A 2023 graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, Aguilera earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science and in 2024 received a master's degree in exercise physiology. From 2020-24, he was a strength and conditioning coach for the Mavericks' golf, wrestling, and cheer and dance teams. He has also worked as a strength coach at Maple Grove High School and a student assistant for Minnesota State track and field.
As a student-athlete, Aguilera received accolades as a thrower, being named a 2022 discus All-American and conference champion, and an All-Conference and conference champion weight thrower.
