Northwestern and Dordt College to host joint Deep Song Reading event
Northwestern College will host a joint Deep Song Reading Series event with Dordt College on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. in Northwestern’s Te Paske Gallery.
The Northwestern College Symphonic Band will present a concert on Friday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel.
The Rev. Dr. Tim Brown will speak during Northwestern College’s chapel service on Friday, Nov. 4, at 10:05 a.m. in Christ Chapel.

The biblical story of “Joseph and His Brothers” will be presented by Northwestern College theatre Nov. 11, 12, 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 19 at 2 and 7:30 p.m.

Northwestern profs awarded sabbaticals, research fellowships
Northwestern College has announced the names of professors awarded endowed research grants and sabbaticals for 2017–18.
Northwestern College Spanish prof Piet Koene has recently been certified as a medical interpreter through the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters.
Author Hugh Halter will speak during Northwestern College’s chapel service on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 11:05 a.m. in Christ Chapel.
Marque Jensen, an expert in the areas of community, justice, racism and reconciliation, will speak during Northwestern’s chapel service on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 11:05 a.m.

Northwestern student serves on agricultural advisory team
Katie Schmith, a senior at Northwestern College, is serving on the Iowa Corn Collegiate Advisory Team.
Northwestern is included in the most recent President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll in recognition of its strong commitment to volunteerism and civic engagement.
