Northwestern College wins marketing awards

Three projects produced by Northwestern College’s public relations and advancement offices have won awards in the 2017 Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District Six awards competition.

Northwestern’s viewbook for the admissions office won a silver award in the Student Recruitment Publications: Viewbooks and Prospectuses category. Wartburg College won the gold award in that category, and bronze awards were won by The College School of St. Louis and Missouri State University.

Northwestern also received a silver award in the Fundraising Video: Long Video category for a donor thank-you video which was shown at the 2015 Legacy Celebration Banquet. Missouri University of Science and Technology won the gold award in that category, and The College School received a silver award.

A thank-you postcard for donors to Northwestern’s Ron and Peg Juffer Athletic Fieldhouse won a bronze award in the Individual In-House Publications category. Wartburg won the gold award in that category, with silver and bronze awards going to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The viewbook was developed by Northwestern’s public relations office in collaboration with C. Grant and Company of Wheaton, Ill. The video was produced by Lem Maurer, audiovisual technician, working with Tara Woodward, advancement officer. Woodward and Tamara Fynaardt, associate director of public relations, coordinated the postcard, which was designed by the late Dan Landegent.

This is the seventh consecutive year Northwestern has won at least two awards from CASE District Six.
