Exhibitions to feature work by senior art majors
Three senior art majors at Northwestern College will display their work during January in the college’s Te Paske Gallery.
Katherine Calvey, principal flutist in the State Philharmonic of Chihuahua, Mexico, will present a guest recital in Christ Chapel on Monday, Jan. 19, at 7:30 p.m.

Terror Texts encore precedes festival performance
Northwestern College theatre will present an encore performance of “Terror Texts” on Jan. 16 in preparation for the musical’s production at the Region V Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival at the University of Kansas.
A recording of Northwestern’s 2008 Christmas Vespers service will be aired on public radio station KWIT, FM 90.3 in Sioux City, Iowa, at noon on Christmas Day.
Ten Northwestern students, staff and alumni will spend part of Christmas break in Texas, helping with relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Ike.

Social work students study local views on immigration
NWC social work majors have surveyed Sioux County residents regarding recent immigrants and are making recommendations for improved community relations.
A Northwestern team has been selected to compete in the Association for Computing Machinery International Collegiate Programming Contest’s World Finals in Stockholm, Sweden, in April.
The world-renowned Boston Brass will perform in concert at Northwestern College's Christ Chapel on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m.
