Professor speaks on Theodore Roosevelt
Friday, September 3, 2010
Duane Jundt, instructor in history at Northwestern College, gave a presentation at Rocky Mountain National Park July 31 as part of its "Saturday Night in the Park" series. In "The Dude is a Cowboy: Theodore Roosevelt and the American West," Jundt talked about how the Manhattan-raised Roosevelt became the American president most evocative of the West. He explored how Roosevelt's experience in the West healed his broken heart, nurtured the naturalist and conservationist he became, and even influenced his foreign policy.
