Host families

During the time Northwestern is your home away from home, you’ll have the option of being matched with a host family living in or near Orange City. Connecting with a host family will help you build meaningful relationships with the broader Orange City community and experience a greater sense of belonging.

Your host family will support you and form a friendship with you marked by mutual learning and growth. They’ll check in with you on a regular basis through texts, emails and phone calls. You can go to them for advice and to share prayer requests. They may also invite you over for meals and include you in family get-togethers and events.

Many students remain close to their host families after they leave Northwestern.
