Senior art students to display work

A senior art exhibit by Corrine Muyskens and Leslie Stover will be on display in Northwestern College’s Te Paske Gallery Feb. 18–22.

Entitled “Things Unseen,” the show is inspired by what is unnoticed in everyday life. Muyskens’ chalk pastel drawings and painted tissue-paper collages focus on cells in the human body, while Stover’s monoprints and ink drawings portray daily-use objects. A reception with both artists is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m.

Muyskens is an art education major and the daughter of Dennis and Susan Muyskens from Mason City, Iowa. Following graduation, she plans to move to Denver and teach art.

Stover has majors in public relations and art with a graphic design emphasis. Her career plans include a job in either public relations or graphic design for a nonprofit organization. She is the daughter of Leonard and Laura Stover of Adrian, Minn.

Northwestern’s Te Paske Gallery is located in the Thea G. Korver Visual Arts Center, on Highway 10 at 214 8th Street SW in Orange City. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to midnight Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to midnight Sunday.
