Greatly supported
Nathania chose Northwestern because of the college’s uniqueness and because NWC offered her an excellent financial aid package. College had seemed nearly impossible for Nathania, but now she’s a business-marketing major with a minor in leadership studies.
Uniquely Northwestern
The feeling on Northwestern’s campus is completely different from any other. It is just so evident that so many at Northwestern truly love the Lord and live out the calling to shine for his glory —professors, staff and students. I chose Northwestern for those reasons and more.
The Northwestern financial aid difference
Eric in the financial aid office is a wonderful help answering questions about loans and finances. There have been a few times of tears and stress, but he has always walked me through my struggles. This has meant so much since I am far from my parents’ help. All colleges, I believe, give financial aid packages, but it always felt different at Northwestern. They wanted to make college possible for me.
Multiple payoffs
Northwestern is more than 100% worth the investment. No amount of money can compare to the opportunities I have had here. I made lifelong friends, traveled outside the country, and learned much academically and about myself! I am on the tennis team, a student ambassador, a Bridge Scholar, a discipleship coordinator, and I work for the phonathon in the advancement office. For my career, I would like to work in operations or marketing. Ultimately I would love to own a coffee shop and do ministry through that.
More than a number
To prospective students who want to attend Northwestern but think they can’t afford it, I would say: The financial burden of college can be scary, but there are people here who want to support you and want to help make college possible for you. At Northwestern, you are not just a number, you are a person who deserves to be here. There are people who will help you and make you feel seen and known.
