Academic rigor
I chose Northwestern because of its rigorous faith-based academics. The moment I stepped on Northwestern’s campus, I knew that God was calling me here. Now I can’t imagine being anywhere else. At Northwestern, everyone works as a team to make sure every student gets the support they need.
Well equipped
On top of all the impressive equipment Northwestern’s biology department has to offer, the department as a whole wants you to succeed in every way possible. My professors are amazing, and I’ll be forever grateful for their guidance and all that they have taught me.
Doing research
I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in several different research experiments. They include studying cancer, discovering bacteriophages, and working with bacteria in my microbiology class. Through those opportunities, I’ve learned laboratory techniques and discovered my love for research.
Glimpses of God

God created us to live right now, in this moment, for this purpose. We were created with different personalities, talents, dreams and influences to fulfill his plan for us.
