Extreme cold weather leads to campus closure

Frost covered campusDue to the extreme cold temperatures and wind chill forecast for tonight and tomorrow, Northwestern College will be closing its facilities at 10 this evening (Tuesday) through the day on Wednesday. Facilities will open again on Thursday with regular business hours.

The Rowenhorst Student Center, DeWitt Learning Commons, Ramaker Center, classrooms and office buildings will be closed during that time period. All classes, activities and practices are canceled.

The cafeteria, as an essential service, will be open for abbreviated hours on Wednesday: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for brunch and 5 to 7 p.m. for supper.

Students are encouraged to stay indoors as much as possible. When going out, dress appropriately and consider walking with someone.
