In one of the snowiest winters and springs in recent history, a donation from AgriVision Equipment Group was a boon to Northwestern College’s maintenance department. The company loaned Northwestern use of a John Deere 6110M tractor and a 620R loader for the snow season—equipment valued at more than $126,000.
“We are extremely grateful to have the use of this equipment,” says Ward Van Peursem, Northwestern’s grounds supervisor. “The tractor and loader were vital pieces of our snow-removal efforts. Without them we couldn’t have done our work as easily and quickly as we did.”
AgriVision Equipment Group is a licensed John Deere retailer with 15 dealerships in Iowa, including locations in Ireton, Doon, Lawton, Le Mars and Paullina.
Reed Yackley, customer sales representative for AgriVision Equipment Group, says the donation reflects an essential part of his company’s philosophy. “It’s important for us to give back to the community, and we’re glad we can help where we can.”
