Northwestern's library to launch electronic journal

Northwestern College’s DeWitt Library will host a launch party for the college’s new electronic open-access journal, Northwestern Review, on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 3:30 p.m. in the Vogel Community Room of the DeWitt Learning Commons. The public is invited to attend.

“The Northwestern Review seeks to showcase the varied research of the college’s faculty,” says Greta Grond, director of DeWitt Library. The first issue will feature three academic posters by Northwestern students and professors; two original hymns and an article by associate music professor Dr. Heather Josselyn-Cranson; art pieces by professors Phil Scorza and Emily Stokes; articles by history professor Dr. Mike Kugler, philosophy professor Dr. Don Wacome and political science professor Dr. Dan Young; and a book review by Dr. Doug Anderson, professor emeritus of history.

The Northwestern Review will be published once a year. It is edited by Grond and Anderson. The online journal can be viewed beginning Jan. 28 at http://nwcommons.nwciowa.edu/northwesternreview.
