Andres earns doctorate

Michael Andres, a member of Northwestern College’s religion faculty since 1998, has earned his doctoral degree and been promoted to associate professor.

Andres was awarded a Ph.D. in philosophy of religion from King’s College, University of London. His dissertation is entitled “Discerning God’s Voice: Recent Analytic Treatments of the Concept of Revelation.”

Andres teaches systematic theology, philosophical theology, Calvin and Calvinism, and Christian ethics. A graduate of Arizona State University, he holds a master’s degree in theological studies from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Miss. A former member of the Commission on Theology for the Reformed Church in America, he has presented papers at conferences of the Evangelical Theological Society and the Society of Christian Philosophers.
