James Li, a 1994 NWC alumnus, will visit Orange City March 30 through April 1 to recruit students, educators and other professionals to spend one or two years living and teaching English in China. Interested community members are invited to meet Li, gather information and ask questions Tuesday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m. in the choir rehearsal room of DeWitt Music Hall.

Li is the founder of Beijing Rehoboth International Cultural & Academic Development Inc. (BRIC), an organization that focuses on cross-border programs between the U.S. and China and seeks to help people gain intercultural understanding, knowledge, relationships and other skills that will enable them to live more sustainably in an economically interdependent and culturally diverse world.

BRIC plans to eventually send Chinese students to Northwestern for English language and other study. Area families interested in becoming host families for these students are also invited to attend Tuesday evening.
