Emily Sweet, a senior art and writing/rhetoric major from Prosser, Wash., will display her artwork March 25–31 in Northwestern's Te Paske Gallery. The exhibition is in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a bachelor’s degree in art.
Sweet's exhibition, entitled “found,” will feature mixed media, sculpture and photographs, along with some prints, paintings and ceramics. A full-length play script will also be on display. A closing reception is planned for Monday, March 31, at 7 p.m.
Following graduation, Sweet plans to find work as an artist and eventually pursue graduate studies in either studio art or playwriting.
The Te Paske Gallery is located in the Thea G. Korver Visual Arts Center, on Highway 10 at 214 8th St. S.W. in Orange City. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to midnight Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to midnight Sunday.
