Conference: "Caring for the Environment: Putting Biblical Principles Into Practice"

From 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., panelists from northwest Iowa will provide examples of their good local environmental practices meant to inspire and motivate others to do the same, in the categories of individuals and families, churches, schools, business and service organizations, and agriculture.

At 3:30, the conference's concluding address will be given by Dr. Cal DeWitt, a world-renowned Christian environmental scientist. In "My Town: How We Transformed Ourselves Into an Environmental Stewardship Community," DeWitt will tell the story of his experiences in Dunn, Wisconsin, in an effort to illustrate ways local government can foster environmental responsibility.
