Northwestern College will open its 2018–19 art exhibit season with a show by Sioux City artist Andrea Ignacio.

Two 2018 Northwestern College graduates, Virginia Kjer and Osiris Ordaz, presented their psychology research at the annual convention of the Association for Psychological Science May 24–27 in San Francisco.

Marketing materials for Iowa’s 2018 Latino Heritage Festival will feature the design of Elise Arant, a sophomore art/graphic design major at Northwestern College.

Northwestern College has approved new academic programs in entrepreneurship and statistics to be offered next fall. The college has also elevated the art therapy pre-professional program to a major and changed the secondary education endorsement to a major.

Northwestern College’s final art show of the academic year will feature work chosen as part of a juried exhibition.

The scholarly work of 93 Northwestern College undergraduate and graduate students will be on display during the college’s Celebration of Research on Thursday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Rowenhorst Student Center.

Osiris Ordaz, a December Northwestern College graduate from Berwyn, Ill., will present her senior art exhibit in the college’s Te Paske Gallery April 9–13.

Ya-Wen Liu, a Northwestern College student from Taiwan, will present her senior art exhibit in the college’s Te Paske Gallery March 27 through April 6.

Shelby Maznio, a Northwestern College student from Buffalo, Minn., will present her senior art exhibit in the college’s Te Paske Gallery March 19–23.

A design created by Lauren Weber, a Northwestern College junior art/graphic design major from Orange City, has been selected to be used in promotion of the 2019 conference of the Higher Learning Commission.
