HVAC Maintenance Technician

Northwestern College is seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC maintenance technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing HVAC repair, maintenance, installation and other general duties as assigned. This role plays a key part in ensuring our campus provides a safe, healthy and comfortable living environment for students and employees. This technician will perform regular maintenance on equipment to prevent failure by cleaning air handling systems and re-heat coils, monitoring and calibrating air handling systems, and replacing filters, motors, fans, belts, etc., on systems. Duties will also include installing, repairing, replacing and cleaning refrigerant lines, fans, appliance vents, smoke detectors, humidifiers and grills as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

     - High school diploma and be trade school or factory service trained

     - Knowledge of refrigerants

     - Commercial HVAC equipment field experience, including water source heat pumps

        and use of building automation systems

     - Availability to respond to emergency service calls after hours and on weekends
