NWC nursing students study health education for local organization

Five Northwestern nursing students had the opportunity to collaborate with Promise Community Health Center (PCHC) of Sioux Center, Iowa, this semester on studying patient health education. Bethany Los, Blair Montgomery, Katie Bosch, Allison Daugherty and Kathryn Elliot, all seniors at Northwestern, researched PCHC’s current practices of health education provided to patients compared to evidence-based best practice methods. They presented their research findings to PCHC staff members on Dec. 5.
