Two promoted in registrar's office
Sandy Van Kley has been promoted to registrar at Northwestern College, and Austin Nyhof has been promoted to associate registrar.

In recognition of its groundwater and environmental stewardship, Northwestern has been named a 2011 Groundwater Guardian Green Site by The Groundwater Foundation.

Thomas Tiahrt, instructor of computer science, has earned a doctoral degree from the University of South Dakota.

John Vonder Bruegge, assistant professor of religion, has earned a doctoral degree from Yale University.

Northwestern has been named to the 2010 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction in recognition of it strong commitment to volunteering, service-learning and civic engagement.
