KWIT to broadcast Northwestern Christmas Vespers concert

A recording of Northwestern College’s 2016 Christmas Vespers service will be aired twice this holiday season on public radio station KWIT, FM 90.3 in Sioux City, Iowa. The service, which featured numerous Northwestern music ensembles, will air at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, and again at 1 p.m. on Christmas Day.

This year’s program delivered the story of the Jesus child, including the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary, the procession of shepherds and wise men to the manger, and the virgin birth. The concert featured performances by the Brass Choir, Women’s Choir, A cappella Choir and Chamber Orchestra. It was presented in Christ Chapel on Dec. 3 and 4.
