Northwestern College vocalist Sarah Fisher will present a student recital on Sunday, March 27, at 3 p.m. in Christ Chapel. The public is invited to attend.
Fisher, a senior from Aplington, Iowa, will sing 19 pieces. The alto’s repertoire will include works from Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Verdi, Stravinsky, Quilter and de Falla.
“I am looking forward to having my friends and family see me perform,” says Fisher. “I have grown so much as a musician in college, especially in my vocal and performance technique. I have also learned so much about the history and theory of music and how to apply it to my performance. Most importantly, I have grown as a Christian musician and have learned to apply my faith to my art.”
While at Northwestern Fisher has been involved in various theatre productions, A cappella Choir, Women’s Choir and Heritage Choir. After graduating in May with a vocal performance major and theatre minor, she plans to attend graduate school or move to Chicago or New York to audition and teach voice lessons.
