Northwestern professors awarded sabbaticals and research fellowships
Northwestern College professors Dr. Tyrone Genade, Dr. Thomas Holm and Dr. Karissa Carlson have been awarded endowed research grants or sabbaticals for 2016–17.
Emma Wynja, a 2015 Northwestern graduate, is spending the summer as part of a research team at Sanford Research in Sioux Falls.
Eleven Northwestern profs will conduct summer research with funding from the Northwestern College Scholarship Grants program.
Northwestern College will offer two new majors—biochemistry and worship arts—beginning this fall.

Science profs and students to present research
Several NWC professors and students will present research at the Iowa Academy of Science meeting in Iowa City.
Twenty-two Northwestern College academic programs are listed in the 2015 edition of Rugg’s Recommendations on the Colleges.
New retirees and longtime faculty and staff were recognized for their years of service and accomplishments during a banquet held May 5.
