“Calle Molino,” a photo transfer and watercolor piece by Hannah Shie, will be among the works exhibited in Te Paske Gallery April 3–8.

Hannah Shie, an art/graphic design and Spanish major at Northwestern College, will present her senior art exhibit in the college’s Te Paske Gallery April 3–8. A public reception is scheduled for Friday, April 8, at 7 p.m.

Shie’s exhibit is entitled “Caminando por Los Calles,” or “Walking Through the Streets.” Her multimedia artwork uses photos and photo transfers and involves different papers, acrylic paints and embroidery thread. Also included are prints and oil paintings.

After graduating from NWC this spring, Shie would like to do graphic design for a nonprofit organization or ministry. This summer she will spend six weeks on a mission trip to Chia, Colombia, where she will work with the missionaries of Camino Global as a graphic design intern.

Shie is the daughter of Randy and Julie Shie of Apple Valley, Minn.
