Katie Erickson, a senior art major at Northwestern College, will transform the college’s Te Paske Gallery through a fabric installation piece that will be on display March 30 through April 6.
Entitled “unsupposed,” the exhibit is in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a bachelor’s degree in art. A public reception is scheduled for Friday, April 1, at 7 p.m.
In addition to her art major, Erickson is graduating with an education endorsement to teach art in kindergarten through grade 12. Next fall she will begin her teaching career at Woodstock School in Mussoorie, India, where she will teach art in grades 7–12.
Erickson is the daughter of Cory and Karen Erickson of Mount Horeb, Wis.
The Te Paske Gallery is located in the Thea G. Korver Visual Arts Center, on Highway 10 at 214 8th St. S.W. in Orange City. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to midnight Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to midnight Sunday.
