Senior art majors to exhibit work

Four Northwestern College art/graphic design majors will display their work March 18–25 in the college’s Te Paske Gallery.
The show, entitled Self-Portraits, will feature the art of seniors Brad Hughes, Kait Raak, Meredith Reed and Megan Schreurs. Paintings, sculptures, drawings, ceramics and prints will be part of the exhibit, which will open with a public reception Friday, March 18, at 7 p.m. The exhibit is in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a bachelor’s degree in art.
Hughes is the son of Tom and Jane Hughes of Knob Noster, Mo. Raak is the daughter of Corky and Sherri Koerselman of Sibley, Iowa. Reed’s parents are Roger and Kristy Reed of Strawberry Point, Iowa, and Schreurs is the daughter of Randall and Jane Schreurs of Hugo, Okla.
The Te Paske Gallery is located in the Thea G. Korver Visual Arts Center, on Highway 10 at 214 8th St. S.W. in Orange City. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to midnight Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to midnight Sunday.
