Wednesday, November 8, 2017
Orange City area residents are invited to join Northwestern College students, faculty and staff in inaugurating a new Christmas tradition.
The President’s Christmas Tree Lighting is scheduled for Monday evening, Nov. 27, at 6:30 in front of Zwemer Hall. The worship service will include music by a brass ensemble and vocal octet, remarks by President Greg Christy, Scripture reading by theatre students, and Christmas carols sung by the audience as they light candles. It will culminate in the lighting of a newly planted Christmas tree, followed by the lighting of additional Christmas decorations around the campus green.
After the service, attendees are invited to enjoy refreshments in the Vogel Community Room of the DeWitt Learning Commons.
In case of inclement weather, the President’s Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
