Northwestern College invites veterans, active military members, volunteer firefighters, first responders and law enforcement personnel to Service Appreciation Day on Saturday, Nov. 5, on Northwestern’s campus.
That day all service members will be admitted to Red Raider athletic events free of charge. This includes the women’s basketball game against Mayville State University beginning at noon in the Bultman Center; a football game against Doane University at 1 p.m. on Korver Field; the men’s basketball game versus Valley City State University at 2 p.m. in the Bultman Center; and the women’s volleyball match against Doane University in the Bultman Center, with the junior varsity contest beginning at 4:30 p.m. and the varsity match following at 6 p.m.
“Northwestern would like to recognize and honor the men and women who serve our citizens,” says Earl Woudstra, director of athletics at Northwestern. “We are grateful for the services these people provide to enhance the quality of life we enjoy, and this is one way to show our appreciation.”
