Northwestern ranked among 50 best Christian colleges and universities

Northwestern College has been ranked 16th in the 2017 “50 Best Christian Colleges and Universities” ranking by Christian Universities Online.
The ranking highlights intentionally Christian colleges and universities that excel in a number of categories, including personal attention to students, financial aid and overall student satisfaction. Using only member or member-eligible institutions of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities, schools are ranked based on student-to-faculty ratio, percentage of full-time undergraduates receiving grants or financial aid, selectivity, and overall retention and graduation rates.
Northwestern is the highest rated college in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota in this ranking. Other colleges listed include Westmont College (17th), Dordt College (18th), Seattle Pacific (22nd), George Fox University (23rd), Azusa Pacific University (25th), Bethel University (28th) and Gordon College (32nd).
“This is another in a long series of rankings that add external validation for the strength of the Northwestern experience to what our graduates and students tell us,” says Mark Bloemendaal, dean of enrollment and marketing. “We are grateful that the data show Northwestern is offering a high-quality Christian education that provides students a strong return on their investment.”
