Professor's movie premieres

Mike Anderson, an adjunct professor in Northwestern's communications department, wrote and directed a new independent film, Dave's 16th, which premieres in Orange City April 25-May 1 at the Holland Plaza 7 Theatre.
In the movie, Dave Martin has planned out the perfect 16th birthday. He's going to get his driver's license, "borrow" his dad's classic Corvette and take the prettiest girl in school on a big date--but everything goes comically wrong! The teen comedy (rated PG) will run for one week only. Showtimes are weeknights 6:55 and 8:50; and Saturday and Sunday 1:45, 4:00, 6:55 and 8:50.
The film was shot in Orange City with local actors, crew and investors. Jamey Durham, assistant professor of communications, produced the movie in collaboration with Anderson. Senior Vaughn Donahue served as associate producer. Amy Leigh Lightfoot '07 was in charge of production design and costumes. Actors include senior Eugene Huck, junior Margareta De Boer and Tim Sprigg '07.
