Taste of Orange City part of 125-year celebration

Area residents and alumni are invited to eat their evening meal at Northwestern College following the Homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 6. Nine of Orange City’s popular eating establishments will sell their specialties from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Rowenhorst Student Center. “A Taste of Orange City,” part of Northwestern’s 125-year anniversary celebration this weekend, will give friends and alumni of the college their choice of pulled pork sandwiches, pizza, pasta, cactus bread, club sandwiches, chicken tenders, sweet-and-sour chicken, tacos, nachos and brats, as well as smoothies, frappucinos and Italian sodas.
Vendors taking part in the event include Blue Mountain Smokehouse Grille, De Koffie Hoek & Bistro, Pizza Hut, Pizza Ranch, Quiznos, Sodexho (the college’s food service provider), Szechuan Inn, Taco John’s and Woudstra’s Meat Market.
Tickets will be sold for $1 each. Selections will range from one to six tickets.
