Officers elected for Northwestern's student chapter of ACM

Members of Northwestern's student chapter of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) have elected officers for the 2006-07 school year. Chosen as president is Brady Woudstra, a senior computer science and mathematics major from Orange City. Ethan Archer, a senior computer science major from Rockwell City, Iowa, is vice president; and Ben Kester, a junior from Urbandale, Iowa, majoring in actuarial science and computer science, is secretary/treasurer.
Chapter members held a fall picnic on Sept. 20. Future events planned for the semester include a field trip to a local business, participation in the ACM programming contest on Nov. 11, and a Christmas party.
