Fall Campus Retreat

Transportation:  Vans will leave at 6:30pm on Friday and return by 12:30pm on Sunday.  You are welcome to drive your own vehicles if that is more convenient. 

Location:  We’ll be at the Presbyterian Camp of Okoboji.  Accommodations for faculty and staff (and families) will be in the Lakeshore Center (hotel style rooms) where our main sessions will be held. Most students will be in cabins.  www.lakeshorecenteratokoboji.org

Food:  Eat before you come on Friday night.  Other meals will be provided (mostly making our own to save $). Feel free to bring snacks or anything for your own particular dietary needs.

Program: Tim Tjernagel will be leading our main sessions. Tim ’89 and spouse Paula are WorldTeam missionaries in Spain and are parents to Makayla ’20, Nathaniel ’21, and Hannah. There will also be smaller breakout sessions, worship, small groups, conversation, solitude time, a campfire, and recreation.

Recreation:  Saturday afternoon, there will be time to join in trust & team building games at the camp, spend time on the lake, walk (or ride if you bring your own bikes) on the trails, hang out at Arnold’s park, or relax in the giant swings or hammocks at the camp.   Saturday night will feature a fun lake cruise on the Queen II. 

Family members:  Family members are welcome.  The registration form will ask for information about them. 

Cost:  Earlybird special thru Sept 2: $25.  Sept 3-9: $30.   Cost covers transportation, lodging and meals.  We are grateful to be able to offer this low cost because of departments coming together in sponsorship and the generosity of an endowment for ministry activities
