Enacted prayer

Northwestern theatre students have been praying “picture prayers” for over a decade. Using principles from improvisational theatre, the actors take prayer requests or praises from members of the congregation and act out what has been described, including depicting God’s presence.

Northwestern’s Drama Ministries Ensemble has performed across the United States, including off-Broadway in New York and at the Crystal Cathedral. Northwestern College’s nationally recognized theatre program offers programs in theatre, speech and Christian theatre ministries.
