Dr. Leon Couch, Converse College

Dr. Leon Couch is college organist and professor of music at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He holds two doctorates, in music theory and organ performance. His most recent project has been analyzing organ music from the Reformation in light of the rhetoric tradition alive at that time. Dr. Couch will offer a connection of his Christian faith to a merging of rhetorical studies with music history. Dr. Couch is a Ronald R. Nelson Scholars and Artists in Residence Program guest.
