Sandra Muyskens has served the Northwestern Physician Assistant Studies program as a professor of practice since the program's inception. She earned her bachelor's degree from Northwestern College, then went on to earn her certificate in physician assistant studies and MPAS from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Muyskens is a board-certified physician assistant with almost three decades of clinical experience. She currently serves as a physician assistant, specializing in emergency medicine. Prior to joining Northwestern's faculty, Muyskens taught in the physician assistant program for Western Michigan University and taught anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology courses for Northwest Iowa Community College.
