Rewarding career

After six years of debating when might be the right time to complete her BSN, a trusted mentor inspired Melissa to further her education at Northwestern.

Being a nurse is a very rewarding career comprised of courage and kindness.

What did you value about Northwestern's RN to BSN program?

I am glad I chose Northwestern College to complete my BSN! This program included a Christian faith component that was important in both educational studies and spiritual growth. I valued the program’s compassionate mission and genuine flexibility for working students. I very much appreciated the receptiveness and genuine care from the instructors and their dedication to student success.

Has your Northwestern degree had an impact on your career?

The program has allowed me to build upon current practices with many resources to be successful in the healthcare field. Northwestern incorporated the mission of God’s work as the hands and feet of Christ as a nurse. The courses challenged me by building on my current clinical knowledge and applying a servant leadership component in educating and promoting health in our communities

I encourage anyone considering the same program to jump in feet first and fully immerse themselves. The program is so very rewarding.
